In today's society, achieving financial freedom seems to be a coveted goal for many. People often believe that possessing vast wealth is the key to true freedom. However, there is a man who has a different perspective. With assets totaling only around 3 million, he is convinced that he has achieved financial freedom.

He openly shares his family's financial situation, revealing that they have only a little over 10,000 in cash, but their stock portfolio is valued at around 1.1 million, with a significant portion invested in Tencent stocks, yielding a profit of 77.648%. The initial investment of around 600,000 was actually a housing loan that he chose to invest in the stock market instead.

In terms of real estate, he owns several properties valued at approximately 3.3 million, but these assets are difficult to liquidate, and even if sold, the prices may not be ideal. Nevertheless, they generate rental income of over 20,000 per quarter. Calculating his total assets, they amount to around 3.81 million, with the majority being illiquid and depreciating real estate.

Despite this, he feels financially free because their passive income covers their living expenses. He had attempted to find employment but was unsuccessful. He could have taken on jobs like security, delivery, or food service, but he chose not to, preferring to maintain his independence.

This mindset of "having enough money to live" has given him a sense of financial freedom. He embodies the spirit of Joseph Heller, a character in Kurt Vonnegut's novel, who attends a billionaire's party and realizes that true wealth is knowing what is enough.

He is not only financially content but also has ample time to pursue his interests, such as writing, watching NBA games, and playing card games. Physically, he maintains a healthy routine, running 6 kilometers daily and sleeping 8-9 hours. Emotionally, he enjoys harmonious relationships with his family.

His story prompts us to reevaluate our definition of financial freedom. Is it solely about accumulating wealth, or is it a state of mind where one feels content and secure? He has redefined financial freedom, demonstrating that one can find happiness and freedom in everyday life, even with modest assets. This appreciation for life and self-awareness may be the most valuable wealth of all.
